Wood Cutter Design Project

 During my spring 2023 semester, I was part of a project team with the objective to design and model a wood cutter like the one seen to the right. The team and I used static equilibrium equations to create a
complete computational model of our design in MATLAB. Our computational model included calculations for axial stress, bending stress, strain, and factor of safety. We considered multiple design
criteria such as material, applied load, and different brittle and ductile failure theories, and were able to view in real time how proposed design changes impacted our structure. Find the final report down below.
